I have to really enjoy a book to want to number one finish it and number two share it. So let me start by stating – I LOVED this book! Lysa’s words helped me (a self labelled “people pleaser”) learn why it is spiritually healthy to say NO, and why I should make instead take time to make a best YES. The Best Yes (in my opinion) should be required reading for all women!
I enjoy the ease of searching the internet, reading blogs or articles, and following through the hundreds of Pins I have on Pinterest. But really for me nothing quite compares to sitting down with a book and learning about the subject matter that interests me in the moment. Currently my new favourite read is The Homesteading Handbook, written by Abigail R. Gehring.
Last night I went to my first Parent Council meeting. To be honest I have steered clear of these kinds of things pretty much my entire adult life. Intimidated by the feeling I was not quite ‘adult’ compared to other adults, and that perhaps I was pretending to be someone I was not. But the more I travel down the road that is 2016, the more I realize no one else has the secret key to life.
