Living Out My Vision | 2017 Journal

My experience so far with attempting to live out God’s will for my life, seems to always begin with me becoming frustrated and burned out. In my focus and new found excitement I run full steam ahead, assuming patience and calmness will come flooding out of me because I have willed it to. Most of the time before even 8 am, I start taking deep breaths and wishing for the day to be over (another attempt perhaps tomorrow). The main point of this – that I am attempting to live by God’s standards without God, I try to do it in my own way and wonder why I feel so powerless and defeated.

Forming A Personalized Prayer Using Scripture | 2017 Journal

It is the 3rd snow day this week, I did not have the heart this morning to force Annaliese to go to school with Violet (who was happy and giddy with excitement to go). So Annaliese is home bouncing around downstairs as I take a few to pray, read, and write in my gratitude journal. I wanted to sneak on here quickly and share thoughts I had during this time. Hoping to be an encouragement as you start your plan to break down walls and strengthen your relationship with God in 2017, following my vision post yesterday.

Move In Ready | Addition Update

I apologize for the lack of activity across social media as of late, we have been extremely busy round these parts. Between family commitments, finishing up the addition, moving my grandparents, and starting school – I feel like we are running in every direction with full steam. My grandparents have settled into their new apartment, and we have had a few weeks with them living “with us” under our belt. This rainy afternoon was a perfect time to edit the photos I took last month and share the addition progress with you. It is funny now to look back and see how the space has changed with the addition of furniture, photos, and little touches that have been added since moving in.
