The sun has been a sweet gift these past two days, I was sinking into the winter blahs a few days ago – ready to roll over in defeat, why bother trying to find happiness? The gloomy, never ending days with winter storms were getting me down. I couldn’t seem to shake the feeling I was over whelmed and out of my element with six kids at home for another snow day.
This past weekend my aunt asked me for insight and advice after a young mom had approached her in tears. She has 3 young children (3, 2, and 6 months), and a husband who works long hours. I thought for awhile, because initially I felt completely unqualified, “why ask me? I don’t know more than the next mom.”
Mother’s Day is right around the corner! Okay to be 100% honest I somehow forgot about it and booked Annaliese’s Birthday Party for the same day – maybe why no one has responded to the invite yet. That said, I did factor in Joel’s mom being away for most of May this year, and planned out her gift in advance. So I thought I would share that gift with you and document the family craft we made this year.
